Misconception: I am entitled to a rental if I am in an accident.
Fact: You are only entitled to a reasonable and comparable rental vehicle when the other driver's insurance company accepts full liability for the accident and subsequent property damages. However, not all insurance companies have direct accounts with rental companies. In some circumstances, you may be required to incur the rental expense before being able to receive rental reimbursement.
